Alison served for over 20 years in the Royal Navy, and when deciding on a new career, she realised that many older adults do not have affordable access to health and fitness services. Qualifying as a Personal Trainer, Alison went on to complete additional training in Falls Prevention, Chair Exercise, Functional Aging, Older Adult and Exercise Referral. She is a Dementia Friend and enjoys delivering exercise and mobility classes in care homes, community centres and church halls concentrating on improving "Activities for Daily Living", strength, balance and falls prevention. Alison also holds appropriate Public Liability Insurance and is DBS checked.
Alison works in a number of Care Homes in the north Sefton and West Lancashire area. She is also available to deliver Chair Exercise and Falls Prevention to community groups and centres. Contact her for more details and to arrange a taster session.
I aim to:
People who are less mobile and want to improve or maintain their health. People who may have joint or lower back problems, asthma, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, COPD, high blood pressure or weight issues will benefit from a gentle yet effective exercise routine. Please speak to your GP or healthcare professional before embarking on a fitness regime.
